The ADHD Changing Lives Initiative is a significant new partnership operating across both parts of Ireland and Western Scotland, which has received funding until May 2020 through the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme (with matching funding from the Northern Ireland Executive and Irish government). The initiative proposes to tackle the challenges associated with children aged 3-7 years who are at risk of an ADHD diagnosis, by raising awareness and providing behavioural training and support to parents and professionals. Developing stronger shared practice across different regions, and rigorously measuring its impact, will be key aspects of the initiative. ADHD Changing Lives is being delivered across Colin/West Belfast, County Louth, and the Argyll & Bute region of Scotland. Partners in the initiative are Archways (lead partner), Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Louth Leader Partnership, and NHS Highland.

As part of this initiative Colin Neighbourhood Partnership now wishes to recruit the following post:

Job title: Local Coordinator (Changing Lives initiative)

Salary: £27,796

Hours: Full time

Duration: Up to May 2020 (subject to continued funding)

Location: Colin, Belfast

The Local Coordinator will have day to day responsibility for the ADHD Changing Lives Initiative in Colin/West Belfast, as part of Colin Neighbourhood partnership’s wider Early Intervention programme. Coordinating closely with other partners in the South of Ireland and Western Scotland in cooperation with the Changing Lives project manager (based in Dundalk) will also be essential. The Local Coordinator will manage a small project team, build relationships with a wide range of agencies, and coordinate and help to deliver information workshops and training to parents, education and health professionals. Previous delivery experience of the Incredible Years programme and knowledge of ADHD will be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given as required.
