Accounting Assistant – Newtownbreda Area

Accounting Assistant – Newtownbreda Area.

Salary Scale:     £16,515 - £17,514 per annum dependant on experience

Work Time:        Full time, 40 hours per week.

Contract:            Temporary for 9 months with possibility of extension.

Duties will include Accounts payable, Staff expenses and payroll, Accounts receivable, Bank reconciliations, Nominal/Purchase ledger, Posting reoccurring Journals, Issuing cheques and conducting payment runs. 

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 5 GCSE’s (including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent) and recognised accounting qualification or working towards.
• Working knowledge in a similar role including Accounts payable and Payroll processing.
• Practical knowledge of SAGE accounts package, preferably SAGE 200, but will accept SAGE line 50.

Desirable Criteria:

• Accounting qualification.
• Working knowledge of operating computerised payroll for 100+ employees.
• Has worked for an organisation with a turnover in excess of £1.5 million.
• Working knowledge in all / most of the duties listed above.
