The Floating Support service provides a range of interventions to assist young people in maintaining their own accommodation. These project worker posts will be predominately supporting young men.
The post holder will be:
• Responsible for developing support packages within a team context that enables young people to gain the skills and confidence to manage their own tenancies.
• Providing support to young people at risk of suicide/self harm
• Developing new, innovative and alternative approaches to work with the client group.
Essential criteria:
• Degree in Social Work or Youth and Community Work.
• 1 year case work experience of supporting young people.
OR
• Two years full time case work experience with young people.
• Experience of carrying out needs and risk assessments.
• Experience of assessment and support planning with young people.
AND
• A full current driving licence is required so as to be able to meet the requirements of the post in full.
Hours of employment: 35 hours/week. Evening and weekend work will be required.
Salary: £20,710 and pension at 4% of salary.
