The next meeting of the forum on 22 January will focus on engaging with political party policy. Paul Sweeney, Permanent Secretary of the Department for Culture, Arts and Leisure, will be in attendance at the next meeting of the arts policy forum on 27 January
Campaigners have welcomed the publication of a report by the Human Rights Commission which outlines its advice to the Secretary of State on a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland. 
The next meeting of the men's forum will feature Patrica Carey, Head of Policy in the Equality Rights and Social Need Division of OFMDFM as guest speaker. The recent ten year anniversary of the introduction of the Human Rights Act (HRA)could be celebrated in no better way than to continue its work through the development of a strong Bill of Rights in Northern Ireland. A lunchtime seminar at NICVA, facilitated by the Joint Government/ Voluntary and Community Sector Forum will explore the differences between working in the public and voluntary/community sectors through the experiences of two speakers each offering "a view from the other side." An overview of upcoming business at the Assembly from 29 September to 3 October 2008 NICVA has planned a series of training events on policy engagement for the autumn/winter period.Footer
