The Arts Council has announced that it has fulfilled its pledge to plough the hard-won uplift of £1.7m it secured through the NI Budget 2008-11 straight back into the arts in Northern Ireland. 
Revisions have been made to the funding priorities of some of the Big Lottery Fund's Awards For All distributors, and will be effective from 1st April 2008, the Guidance notes and application forms are currently being updated.
The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland is offering Small Grants ranging from £500 to £1,000 for community arts projects. 
The Arts Council have launched the STart UP Initiative which is a new initiative set up to provide support, including grant aid, to those organisations throughout Northern Ireland who have not yet availed of Arts Council funding, including Awards For All.
Belfast City Council’s has opened its Annual Funding for Culture and Arts grants. As part of ongoing cultural investment, applications are now invited for Multi Annual Funding and Annual Funding for Culture and Arts 2008 - 2009. The Arts Council Re-imaging Communities programme will be taking a roadshow across Northern Ireland throughout October to encourage applications for programme grants.
