NICVA has called for the community safety strategy to be developed by local politicians through an inclusive and informed public debate. The next meeting of the forum on 22 January will focus on engaging with political party policy. At the annual Community Transport Association Awards in Manchester, two local transport groups received awards and the Department for Regional Development won a top award as Best Local Authority/Passenger Transport Executive for their work in administering the Rural Transport Fund. NICVA is working with the Big Lottery Fund on an exciting project to provide a development and support programme to Reaching Communities NI grant holders.
