May’s NICVA news introduces a new feature - finance news. This is the first in a series of articles that will bring you the latest news, tips and good practice around everyday workplace issues. Want to know how long you should keep your financial records? Read on for the definitive guide. There are tips for reducing your AGM costs and news of a SORP compliant accounting template, available from the Charity Commission.
A raft of policy events is happening this month, looking at everything from irregularly shaped bananas to lobbying skills and human rights, and a new arts policy forum will also launch. It’s not too late to have your say on the sector’s Policy Manifesto and tell the policy makers what you want. Leadership too is firmly on the agenda, with the Making Your Mark conference’s top speakers aiming to challenge and inspire you.
Looking for a volunteering challenge? The Special Olympics are on the lookout for volunteers to help make this year’s Belfast event a success.
