Applying to Peace II and BSP
Following our request for feedback on experiences of applying to the Peace Programme, some organisations have contacted us with their tale. A few described positive experiences, more have expressed their frustrations, concerns and sometimes outright anger.
In order to air some of the issues and share experiences of the Programme to date, NICVA recently coordinated a meeting between Intermediary Funding Bodies and members of NICVA’s European Programmes Advisory Group(EPAG), which involves networks and networking organisations. The meeting was generally informal and frank, and provided an opportunity to share an understanding of the views of the Peace Programme from the perspective of both applicant and funder. Most of the IFBs agreed that they shared some of the frustrations experienced by many applicants. They were also in a position to shed some light on the background to some of those difficulties, to identify ways in which some of them are being, or could be addressed.
