Cover of Bright BeginningsBright Beginnings is primarily for the parents of a new born baby with Down’s syndrome.

The publication responds to the ever growing need for information by parents of children with Down’s syndrome.

Experienced parents and medical professionals are benefiting as well. The booklet was designed by experts who understand the needs of children with Trisomy 21 (Down's syndrome). Information and advice is provided in a caring and sensitive way.

The booklet contains stories written by parents, for parents, sharing their experiences.

Second edition

This is the second edition of Bright Beginnings and contains additional information on healthcare in the UK and details of our proposal for Down’s syndrome clinics.

The response to Bright Beginnings has been overwhelmingly positive. To ensure the booklets reach as many new parents as possible we have been distributing them free of charge to maternity wards, paediatricians, midwives, obstetricians and parent support groups in the regions where funding has been received - the London, South West, South East and Eastern regions.

Medical professionals are recommending Bright Beginnings to their colleagues in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
