The sector spoke out and demanded an effective anti-poverty strategy at a Stormont rally where a letter signed by over 200 voluntary and community groups was handed to Lord Rooker. On the back of the anti-poverty campaign, NICVA and the Northern Ireland Anti-Poverty Network will team up to host a conference on how neighbourhood renewal can contribute to eradicating poverty.
The long-awaited consultation deadlines arrived for the Review of Public Administration and the Section 75 Review. We await the outcomes with interest. October draws to a close with Belfast's major international community arts conference which promises to be a fantastic event, while the Arts Council is reviewing its five year plan.
Following the ever increasing reports of racist attacks, employers are asked to embrace cultural diversity at work during this month's Anti-Racist Workplace Week. Finally, as we went to press the winners of this year's Link Awards had not been announced but congratulations to the lucky winners...
