The Compact is the jointly-prepared, agreed statement of general principles and the shared values which will govern the further development of the relationship between Government and the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland.
The Compact applies to the relationship between Government (both central and local, including departments and Non-departmental Government Bodies (NDPBs), statutory agencies, and district councils and the voluntary and community sector (which includes voluntary and community organisations and those who volunteer in those organisations and other settings).
