The Cedar Foundation - 1st in Europe

The Cedar Foundation has become the 1st Northern Ireland Charity to win the EFQM (European Foundation in Quality Management) Award. As well as winning the Excellence Award the charity also walked off with a special judge's award for Best Customer Focus.

BIG Research Grants Launch

Woman wins sex discrimination case

A Belfast woman who was employed by Action Cancer has been awarded £30,892 by an Industrial Tribunal which found that she suffered sex discrimination in a recruitment exercise and was unfairly dismissed from her post with the charity.

NJC Pay – Employers make improved offer

The NJC employers made an improved offer at a meeting of the NJC Executive on 24 August 2007. The offer consists of a 3.4% increase on scale point 4, giving a new bottom rate of £6 an hour and a 2.475% increase on all other pay points. The offer is not staged.
