The Special EU Programmes Body has reminded potential applicants that the deadline for this year’s submissions is just over a week away on 5 September at 5.00pm.

A first-ever cross border plan, which describes how 43 partners will work across sectors and across the border for the benefit of socially excluded women within the north west, was launched recently.

Concern is hosting an outdoor exhibition at Belfast City Hall, until 11 September, alongside a series of free public events. Building Unity through Diversity aims to challenge our perceptions of developing countries, and also to celebrate the diversity of our society.

Healthy Food for All and safefood are establishing a Demonstration Programme on Community Food Initiatives and are looking for funding applications from eligible groups and organisations.

The Police Ombudsman’s Office is to launch a trial project to gauge support for the use of mediation as a way of dealing with some less serious complaints against the police. The project is being launched initially in north and west Belfast and, depending on feedback from officers and complainants, it may then be rolled out to other areas of Northern Ireland.
