In the first of a series of interviews with voluntary and community groups and sector skills councils, NICVA caught up with Stevie Johnston, Director of WEA, and Carol O Kane, Development Officer from The Creative and Cultural Sector Skills council.
Roisín Kelly, NICVA’s Skills Development Officer, will be meeting key personnel in voluntary and community groups who have already engaged with Sector Skills Councils. It is intended that these interviews will give us a greater understanding of the role of the councils and the benefit of them to our sector.
In this short video clip, Stevie describes the WEA’s involvement with the Creative and Cultural Skills Sector Skills Council and we hear the impact this work is having on the organisation and the people they support. Carol also gives us an insight into some future developments for the voluntary and community sector and sector skills councils.
