They say
Receiving donations from Community Sellers
eBay argues that the eBay community can be a strong fundraising force for your organisation. Here you can sell items through the eBay for Charity programme and donate part, or all, of the final sale price to your charity. All you have to do is certify your organisation with MissionFish to be added to the charity directory. To learn more about how Community Selling works, go to eBay for Charity Information for Sellers.
Spread the word
eBay argues your key to successful fundraising through Community Selling is to tell your members and supporters about the scheme. They are encourage organisations to add links and messaging about eBay for Charity to their web site, emails, newsletters and other communications to your supporters. The Tools & Tips page on MissionFish has more information. Your Community Sellers can learn more about listing on eBay here.
Selling your own items
Whatever the size of your charitable organisation, if you have items to sell, eBay for Charity offers help. They say you can increase your customer base, and potentially the selling price of your items, by listing them on eBay. There are more than 10 million people in the UK, and 157 million worldwide who buy and sell on eBay.
Charities who sell their own items are known as Direct Sellers. To become a Direct Seller your organisation needs to have an eBay sellers' account, be certified with MissionFish and to have a MissionFish seller's account. Find out more.
