Updating Interface research

Belfast Interface Project Small Logo

The Belfast Interface Project wants to uncover and document new research on Belfast's interfaces.

Has your organisation produced any literature that it may be useful to include in the annual update to our collection of abstracts of interface-related literature? Are you aware of any relevant literature produced by others?

You may remember that the Belfast Interface Project published a collection of abstracts of interface-related literature - 'Interface Issues' - in July 2005. This document is a compilation of research and comment on interface issues and areas which has been undertaken by voluntary agencies, academic institutions, research organisations, community forums and others.

The publication provides a resource for individuals interested in the dynamics of interface communities, aims to assist researchers in their studies on Belfast interfaces, and allows for comparisons to be drawn between research findings. BIP aims, through the collection, to make existing interface-related material more accessible and to increase the knowledge-base in relation to interface areas and issues.

BIP has posted the publication to members and key stakeholders and made a pdf file version of the document available for download from their website. The project also houses a library of all of the source documents, open to members and key stakeholders, at their offices.

Belfast Interface Project has committed to produce an annual update of additions to this collection, which we aim to publish as a pdf file and to make available for download from our website. They will add the source documents to their current library.

If you are aware of titles that either were not included within the original collection, or have been produced since then, and which you feel should be included within the update, BIP would be very grateful if you would let them know of the title, author and ideally date of publication of the document(s) you have in mind, in order to allow them to pass this information on to the Institute for Conflict Research (ICR) who will gather the source documents and prepare abstracts.

These abstracts will then be gathered into one document, representing the first annual update to the 'Interface Issues' document, while the source documents will be added to the BIP library.

Documents currently in the archive are in this Rich Text Format document. ( Microsoft Word IconRTF, 48KB) |
