The Women's Resource and Development Agency is commencing work on an Alcohol 'Use and Misuse Awareness' Training Resource Programme, funded by the Alcohol Education and Research Council. This programme will be delivered to groups in local communities over four to six weekly sessions by WRDA community facilitators, initially as a pilot in autumn 2005.
WRDA is planning an initial meeting to consider and agree an outline of content for the training resource. We invite those working on alcohol awareness within health, voluntary and community organisations to give input at this planning stage.
This alcohol awareness programme forms part of WRDA's wider commitment to working with local communities, statutory and voluntary organisations to tackle health inequalities in Northern Ireland.
