A website called Fermanagh Info (www.fermanagh.info) makes it easy to find out about non profit activity in the area.
A new Fermanagh Info website (www.fermanagh.info) has been launched to get Fermanagh voluntary and community organisations online.
Many small community organisations in Fermanagh wanted an internet presence, but didn't have the skills or money to organise it. The Fermanagh Trust came to the rescue, developing a simple website for each group and giving them the training to maintain their pages.
Partnerships
Launched in the tenth anniversary year of the Fermanagh Trust, the site aims to keep people informed about non profit activity in Fermanagh and to facilitate partnerships between local organisations.
A 'Support and Advice' listings section has also been created containing the details of funders, issue-based organisations and social economy businesses.
"We hope that this project will lead the way in how community groups in Fermanagh promote their work, as well as accessing the information they need." explained Lauri McCusker, director of the Fermanagh Trust . "The internet provides a wealth of opportunities for rural communities, and we are proud to be a part of the 'information revolution' in Fermanagh."
