Barnardo's Refer 2 Us Group are a group of young people aged 16-21 years who have all been involved in Barnardo's Services. They have been together for almost 5 years now as the voice of other children and young people. This has been facilitated either through sharing their life experiences or through the process of consultation.
In early 2008 Refer 2 Us carried out a consultation called Who Am I? The purpose was to explore and get a better understanding of the factors which shape and influence identity and well being for children and young people in Northern Ireland. Issues such as health, bullying and discrimination were prioritised.
Key findings have been produced as a set of 6 postcards and have been distributed to MLAs and other relevant organisations.
A full report will be available on the Who Am I? consultation at a later date.
