The EAGLE Project is running a ‘Money Tree’ in the Park Centre this Christmas. EAGLE is Park Centre’s chosen Charity of the Year. The EAGLE information point about Autism has become a familiar sight in the sentre and has hosted some fun events and collections.
This Christmas, in addition to the Autism Wall, the EAGLE Project has a Christmas tree bedecked in EAGLE Christmas envelopes.
The Christmas Money Tree arrived in the Park Centre on Wednesday 30 November and will stay there until Christmas Eve.
Customers are invited to put a donation in one of the envelopes and deposit it in the safe provided.
All proceeds will be used to support children with Autism.
Park Centre manager, Chris Newton commented, "The Park Centre is extremely pleased to be involved with the EAGLE Project, and lend as much support as possible to all their fundraising activities, along with the vital need to increase profile of the Project."
The EAGLE Project, run by Belfast Central Mission (BCM), provides a unique service in Northern Ireland. Having identified a gap in service provision for families of children with autism five years ago, the EAGLE project responded with an individualised support service which has so far provided help for over 70 families within the Greater Belfast and North Down and Ards areas.
EAGLE provides much needed support within two weeks of diagnosis and displays flexibility in responding to the individual needs and issues of each family.
Thank you and Merry Christmas from all at the EAGLE Project and BCM.
