NICVA responds to the consultation on the Review of Charity Administration and Legislation in Northern Ireland.
NICVA submitted its response to DSD's consultation on the Review of Charity Administration and Legislation in Northern Ireland in 2005.
The response is informed by NICVA’s work on:
1. the PIU and Strategy Unit reviews and consultations
2. DSD’s initial Scoping Study and associated Advisory Panel work
3. the ongoing work of its Charity Advice section
4. the consultation sessions held in conjunction with DSD’s Charity Branch.

On 17 July 2006 DSD published a consultation document The Charities (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.
NICVA have prepared a Briefing Paper on the draft Order.
To raise awareness of charity law reform, NICVA will be co-hosting seminars with DSD on the following dates:
Wed 06 September 2006 -NICVA, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast.
Mon 11 September 2006 - The Junction, Bishop Street, Derry.
Tues 12 September 2006 - Ballybot House, Newry.
Wed 13 September 2006 - Omagh Community House, Omagh.
