The DFP (Department of Finance and Personnel), which has responsibility for policy and legislation on rates in Northern Ireland, is currently reviewing the existing legislation relevant to charities. As part of the ongoing consultation process launched on 28 February, DFP will hold a seminar on Monday 9 May 2005 at NICVA.
The aim of the seminar / information session is to gather the view of key stakeholders on issues relating to the Non-Domestic Rating Reform, and in particular Charitable Exemptions and Reliefs.
