Success of Multiple Sclerosis Society Training Day for Healthcare Professionals in NI.

Over 70 Healthcare Professionals from various disciplines attended the first ever training day on the basic understanding of multiple sclerosis and the role of the MS Society in Northern Ireland at the Society’s Resource Centre on Friday 30 September 2005.

'We were delighted with the excellent response from our colleagues in the statutory sector”

Robert McConnell, Community Support Officer

'I very much enjoyed this training. Working with people at all stages of MS it has given me a much better insight into the condition'.

Nurse from Ballycastle

'I think the MS Society is taking great strides in reaching out to both people with MS and professionals involved in care.'

Social Worker from Bangor

'It is obvious from our evaluation of the day that there is a great demand for basic and further training in MS and we will be continuing with this initiative in Omagh on Thursday 13 October as part of the MS Society’s policy of reaching out to the statutory sector'.

Danny McQuillan, Head of Development for the MS Society
