The fund is aimed at organisations or networks with an interest in development education work who want to undertake 1-3 year projects which seek to raise awareness and understanding of International development issues.
The Department for International Development is inviting applications to its Mini Grants Scheme in Northern Ireland 2008. The fund is aimed at organisations or networks with an interest in development education work who want to undertake 1-3 year projects which seek to raise awareness and understanding of:
DFID's contribution to a project will be a minimum grant of £1,000 and a maximum grant of £10,000 per year.
The overall aim of the Development Awareness Fund is to support activities that promote the following:
It is highly recommended that you read DFID's strategy paper, Building Support for Development, before submitting an application to the Mini Grant Scheme. The strategy paper sets out how DFID plans to build greater awareness and understanding of international development issues across the UK.
