The Department for Social Development (DSD) has published the first Monitoring Report on Partners for Change, the Government's Strategy for Support of the Voluntary and Community Sector.
Partners for Change gave a commitment to publish a monitoring report on an annual basis and to undertake an independent evaluation every three years.
This monitoring report outlines progress against departmental action plans for the period ended 31 March 2003 and examines the actions identified for all ten Departments as well as OFMDFM and the Northern Ireland Office . It was compiled by the Voluntary and Community Unit (VCU) in the Department for Social Development.
The information gathered through the monitoring process will be used to inform the evaluation of Partners for Change. The final evaluation report is due to be completed by March 2004 and will be published on DSD’s website. A further monitoring report for the period 1 April 2003 to 31 March 2004 will issue late 2004.
