Concordia , the social partners group made up of CBI , ICTU , NICVA and the UFU , would like to fund six people from the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland to participate in the CIVICUS World Assembly for NGOs .
Flights, accommodation and conference costs of up to £1,400 will be covered by individual bursaries for the six successful applicants who will travel to Gaborone , Botswana for the conference which takes place from 21 - 25 March 2004 . The funding is part of Concordia’s Outward and Forward Looking Region project.
Selection
Concordia will select the six delegates, who will represent a broad cross section of voluntary and community organisations in Northern Ireland . Prospective participants will be asked to outline how their involvement in the World Assembly will benefit their organisation and the sector at large. Delegates will be expected to complete a report on their return.

Funding for transnational activities
The Outward and Forward Looking Region project will also fund a number of transnational activities such as short study visits to other regions, organised study tours and six month placements with appropriate organisations. These activities will be carried out in conjunction with the other social partners and some on a sector or individual basis.
