The training subgroup of the Joint Government / Voluntary and Community Sector Forum has developed a new course with the aim of providing an opportunity for shared learning between government and the voluntary and community sector.
The course seeks to provide participants with a better understanding of working procedures in both sectors and will look at issues which are of common concern.
The course content will include presentations on the Programme for Government, the work of the voluntary and community sector, policy development, current government policy and measuring outputs and outcomes. Participants will take part in exercises on communications, funding and policy.
NICVA is seeking nominations from eight people of a senior level within the sector. The course will take place on 18 and 19 May in The Mount conference centre in Belfast. It will be of great benefit to organisations with any kind of working relationship with government.
