Face Inclusion Matters wins 2008 Belfast City Council Sports Award

Face Inclusion Matters, Northern Ireland's principal voluntary organisation for young people with and without disabilities, is this year's winner of the Lucozade Sport Belfast Physical Activity and Sports Award.
Receiving the award for Face on 14 April, Clare Lagan, former Sports Development Officer, said:
"This award acknowledges the enthusiasm and commitment our young people have put into our sports development project over the last four years. We know now that we can enjoy Parball(TM), Boccia, Darts, Fishing, Wheelchair Hurling, New Age Kurling and Wheelchair Football as truly inclusive sports - together."
Rainer Pagel, Director of Face Inclusion Matters, stated:
"I thank Belfast City Council and Lucozade Sport for their choice of our charity for this award. It is wonderful to see that even as a small organisation one can make a difference in the lives of young people with and without disabilities. Clare and our staff team have worked very hard to achieve this, and I can only hope that Face will soon be able to find the funds to start the next phase of inclusive sports development for young people with and without disabilities."
Face Inclusion Matters was the winner in the category of Promoting Healthy Living and Increased Physical Activity, sponsored by EPACG.
