We need some information about displacement versus decant payments from anyone who has gone through major works.
In 1998 Annadale and Haywood Residents Association was formed in an attempt to stimulate investment in Annadale Flats and other NIHE stock in the Annadale area. After eight years we are now working in partnership with the NIHE having successfully agreed a package of environmental and physical improvements.
If you have been through a similar process please help by telling us about decant or displacement payments offered to your residents by the NIHE. You can contact us at the above email address.
We have also been lobbying for social housing to be included in a nearby housing development that is proposed for a site that used to hold NIHE multi-storey flats. Currently we have an committment to 50 (minimum) social units within this devlelopment.
We see these as part of an overall strategy for the area and we are delighted with the support we have received, particuarly from NITAP and from Taughmonagh Community Forum, who are supporting commmunity development activities in the area.
