Dervock Story Finders Frank McLernon & David McKeown paid a visit to the Dervock primary school on Monday 18th February, where they presented the Story Finders project to the teachers.
The staff were very excited to hear about the work the Dervock Story Finders group is doing and were thrilled to see the photos on the site. They would love to see even more pictures up on the website, so they could use them with their pupils to prompt discussion and help the children to learn more about Dervock's past.
Story Finders is funded by BBC Northern Ireland, the Department of Finance and Personnel and BT with support from NICVA.
Following on from their success, Frank McLernon has now agreed to pay a return visit to give a presentation to the 6 - 8 year olds about Dervock in former times, which should prove to be a right wee treat for the kids!
