Sainsbury’s, Forestside has selected the MS Society, NI as the recipient of all donations dropped into its charity boxes from January to the end of March.
Charity boxes are located beside tills at the store and staff and customers are encouraged to use them as a way to give to local charities.
Nathan Portess, duty manager of Sainsbury’s Forestside explained "The stationary box gives staff and customers the opportunity to donate their loose change to charity. We selected the MS Society as a beneficiary because the charity is locally based and to back the Mayor of Castlereagh, Councillor Tommy Jeffers, who is supporting the charity during his Mayoral term".
The MS Society, NI would like to thank Sainsbury’s Forestside for supporting their work and Councillor Tommy Jeffers for his ongoing assistance.
With almost 2,000 members The MS Society is the leading person-centred charity providing support to people living with MS in Northern Ireland.
