Charlotte Trinder, current Chair of the Northern Ireland IOF Committee stated
Sadly last year the Northern Ireland Institute of Fundraising and the fundraising sector lost a pillar of our community, Mr Bryan Walliker. Bryan had been in the field of fundraising for the last thirteen years. Bryan was instrumental in setting up the Diabetes UK fundraising office in NI and had been with Diabetes UK for over nine years. He played an integral role in the fundraising sector always advocating best practice.
The Institute of Fundraising Annual Convention takes place on Thursday 28 June 2007 at the Ramada Hotel, Belfast.

As a past Chair of the Regional group in NI and later becoming a Fellow, Bryan had strategic vision, drive, leadership, a good sense of humour, and always managed to get the best out of the committee. Through his involvement, regional membership increased, a presence was established in the west of the province and relationships with other bodies such as ACOVO were established. Bryan also raised the standards for fundraisers and volunteers province wide and contributed to the development of fundraising as a profession many aspire towards and want to volunteer in.
