Camelot seeks to fund Northern Ireland projects

Camelot Foundation is inviting application from Northern Ireland applicants as the theme for the current round of funding focuses on geographical areas that are underrepresented with funding from the Foundation.

The Camelot Foundation is a vibrant and imaginative grant making foundation. An annual donation of £2 million from Camelot Group allows the foundation to support grant programmes that assist marginalised young people across the UK.

The Camelot Foundation’s uniqueness derives from its combination of grant giving and direct programme delivery to achieve lasting impact and legacy. Their core ethos is to support creative and progressive charities in the voluntary sector that work with young people between the ages of 11-25. They want creative charities to show young people that they have a positive role to play in determining their future.

Developing and strengthening the infrastructure of the voluntary sector is crucial to the way they work. They believe that creating an environment in which best practice is genuinely shared is fundamental.

The Foundation generally focuses grants on four groups of young people:

  • Young parents, or those at risk of becoming young parents
  • Young asylum seekers
  • Young people with mental health problems
  • Young disabled people

Camelot's largest grant giving programme is called ‘Transforming Lives’ and offers funding to registered charities working with young people (11-25) who fall within 1 or more of their 4 priority groups.

They look for forward thinking projects that aim to fulfil unmet need. There are 4 rounds of ‘Transforming Lives’ each year, and each round has a different theme.

If you are interested in applying, please read through their guidelines carefully before completing the application form to ensure that you are eligible.
