Service Level Agreement Grants

The Service Level agreement scheme has been developed as an integral part of the Council's Community Support Plan and exists to support infrastructure and development within the Community and Voluntary Sector. it is aimed at providing resources to community and voluntary organisations in areas where there is little or no Council provision in terms of community facilities. The maximum award for any one project/organisations is £5,000. Average grant awards will be in the region of £2,500.

Applications are also sought from key umbrella organisations that play a key strategic and support role for the wider community and voluntary sector which includes:

• represent the needs of the local sector interest and serves at network and individual organisation level
• provides a focus for lobbying and consultation for the area it serves
• networks and provides interface with key statutory agencies and other organisations
• promotes and facilitates training and capacity building programmes
• interprets and disseminates information
