Lisburn Community Safety Projects

Lisburn City Community Safety Partnership has invited bids for Community Safety Projects with a value of £500 or more for the years 2006 to 2008.

A fund of £96890 is available in year 1 and £110732 in year 2 for projects that will help reduce crime, fear of crime and anti-social behaviour within the Lisburn City Council area.

Projects must tackle one or more of the issues outlined in the NIO Regional Strategy [see www.communitysafetyni.gov.uk] on

  • Car Crime,
  • Domestic Burglary,
  • Business & Retail Crime,
  • Offences against Individuals, particularly Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault,
  • Youth Offending & Reducing Criminality,
  • Offences motivated by Prejudice & Hatred,
  • Drug, Substance & Alcohol Abuse,
  • Anti – Social Behaviour and Low Level Neighbourhood Disorder,
  • Fear of Crime amongst Older People,
  • Vulnerable Adults, Victims & Children.

Proposals must also relate to local strategy priority objectives on Volume Crime, Substance Misuse [particularly alcohol] Vulnerable Individuals and Youth Issues.

Applicants from constituted groups, agencies and organisations should contact Laurence Kerr, Community Safety Coordinator, at an early stage when considering proposals and submit applications to LCCSP in hard copy by 4pm on Friday 30th December 2005 at the address above.

NB: Applicants should be aware of the following….

  1. 20% Match funding is required.
  2. Applications will only be considered if all requested details are received by the deadline.
  3. Applicants/Organisations are expected to work in partnership with relevant LCCSP members.
  4. Projects must adhere to NIO/CSU and LCCSP finance and employment guidelines.
