The programme is funded by the Big Lottery Fund under its Young People’s Fund and will be delivered by YouthNet in partnership with PlayBoard, NI Youth Forum, ELBs and the Youth Council for NI.
The main focus of the programme is to increase children and young people’s participation in ways which contribute to achievement and learning and/or enhances health and well-being.
One part of the programme is a small grants scheme for individuals and groups of children and young people offering grants of between £500 and £2,500. The scheme has three themes, which are:
Launched on 6 September with the help of Northern Ireland’s very own Colin Murray - among other things BBC Radio 1 DJ … a series of 6 information evenings have been organised across Northern Ireland. The sessions are aimed at those working with children and young people and you are welcome to turn up on the night.
