Belfast Community Safety Partnership and Belfast City Council’s - Community Safety Small Grants Scheme
Belfast Community Safety Partnership was established in 2004 to help Belfast be safer and feel safer. Following an in depth audit to determine the community safety need in the city in 2005, the Partnership developed and launched its strategy in June 2005.
One of the key problems identified by our audit is antisocial behaviour. This incorporates groups/gangs gathering, vandalism or graffiti, noise, attacks on emergency services and interpersonal/ family/ community conflict.
In order to address this problem in a preventative manner the Community Safety partnership agreed to make available some resources for a small grant scheme that would contribute to the aims listed below.
The maximum size of grant is £1000, and we expect the activity to be completed by the 31 March 2008.
If you want any more information about community safety, please contact Denise Smith, Community Safety Coordinator (South and East Belfast) on 028 9032 0202; extension 3570 o Richard McLernon, Community Safety Coordinator (North and West Belfast) on 028 9032 0202; extension 3324.
We are inviting your application on an application enclosed form.
