The purpose of the call is to fund a limited number of projects that promote active ageing, including access to the labour market, and measures encouraging the establishment of exchange programmes for the elderly through specialised organisations.
Key activities to be carried out under this call should take the form of:
The call is open to any public or private legal entity established in the Member States of the European Union. Proposals may be developed and implemented by a partnership which includes participants from several Member States. The applicant and its partners must be non-profit organisations.
There is a budget of €3 million available overall this year, and the Commission is possibly awarding between 4 and 10 grants meaning the likely range will be between €300,000 and €800.000. Up to 80% of costs can be covered. Projects must start in 2007 and be normally completed within 24 months; the maximum duration must not exceed 36 months.
The deadline for the submission of applications is 13 July 2007.
