Calor Village of the Year

SHV: Calor Gas Small Logo

Calor Village of the Year is crossing the Irish Sea for the first time, to search for enterprising and caring rural communities in Northern Ireland, with populations of 5,000 or under.

Image of boy sitting on father's shouldersIn today’s rapidly changing world there is a lot of pressure on rural communities and this competition recognises the important place they still hold in society.

There is £5,000 on offer to the village that wins the prestigious title of 2007 Calor Village of the Year® for Northern Ireland - but prize money is not the main benefit of taking part.

Participating in the competition strengthens the bonds of village life, and helps your community realise what has already been achieved.

To find out more about how your community would benefit from entering, download the 'Celebration and Catalyst' leaflet (pdf)

Give your community a boost
