Camelot Foundation has confirmed it is planning to close in Spring 2008 due to Camelot Group withdrawing funds earlier than expected.
Camelot Foundation has stated on its website:
We are very disappointed that Camelot Group plc has confirmed that they will not provide the Camelot Foundation with any further funding.
The Foundation will now only be able to continue a limited grant-giving programme for the benefit of vulnerable young people into the spring of 2008. The Foundation is now planning this final programme and will be announcing this once Trustee Board approval is obtained in early December.
As already stated, existing commitments to beneficiaries will be met from funds already set aside for this purpose.
