Job Purpose: To provide intensive goal-orientated and time limited intervention to young people and their carers to a maximum of 6 families at any one time. To assist families in accessing and building supports. To contribute to the goals of the Linden Services for Children.
Contract Status: Permanent (subject to continuous funding).
Salary: Grade 5+, Currently £21,529 rising to £30,737 per annum (plus additional "on call" allowance). (For commencement beyond the first point on salary scale please refer to Salary Policy).
Hours: Full-Time/37.5 per week (inclusive of meal breaks). The post holder will be required to be part of a rota providing 24 hour on call service to MST families/carers.
Location: Hydepark House, 54 Mallusk Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 4WU.
Payment: Monthly directly into bank account (via BACS).
Holiday: 26 days on entry to grade plus 11 statutory days per annum. Holiday entitlement increases after 3 and 5 years' service.
Pension: Contributory Pension Scheme applies, including Life Assurance and Private Health Insurance. Details will be provided on selection.
Essential Criteria:
In addition, applicants must have a full driving licence with access to a car and motor insurance that stipulates you can use your vehicle in connection with your business. (Please Note: These criteria will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but who is able to demonstrate that they can meet the mobility requirements of the post).
The successful applicant will attend orientation training with MST Services in USA prior to the commencement of direct work with families. The service is offered on a 24/7 basis and as such therapists would be expected to provide such cover on a rota basis. Hours of work are flexible and are determined by the needs of the families with whom we work.
Location: The MST team is based in Extern Headquarters in the Mallusk area but for those applicants living a significant distance from the area, alternative arrangements will be considered.

Interviews for Multisystemic Therapist will be held on Thursday, 25 September/Friday, 26 September 2008.
A waiting list will be held in the event that any similar permanent or fixed-term/temporary vacancies which may arise over the next 9 months.
