The Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health is a registered charity concerned with the promotion of mental health and the provision of mental health services throughout Northern Ireland.

Applications are invited for the following post:

Project Worker – full and part time posts available
Ref AMH/PW/05/71

Salary scale: £13,500 - £17,714 (pro rata)
Based at: Shiels Court Supported Housing Scheme, Ballymoney

The Project Worker will be required to be highly motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and committed to working in the supported housing area of mental health.

Essential criteria will include:

  1. educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  2. a minimum of one year’s community / mental health experience or alternate care experience preferably in a supported housing environment
  3. a full current driving licence and access to a car is essential. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.

Applicants will be expected to work flexibly on a shift basis, which will include evening, weekend and night cover.

Applicants who can demonstrate one year or more mental health experience will start on the second point of the scale ie £14,041.
