The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience, at a management level, working in a residential setting. Experience of working within the homeless sector or a related field is required and a qualification in social care or equivalent field is desirable. This is a new service due to open in February 2009 and it is envisaged that this post will commence in December 2008.
Do you feel you can advocate on behalf of this client group and support them while they move towards independent living? The ideal candidate will have knowledge of policy implementation, budgetary application, staff supervision and scheduling, statutory knowledge relating to the homeless sector, familiarity with health and safety, equal opportunities and other key policies. Knowledge of homeless legislation and an understanding of the ‘Supporting People’ programme would be beneficial.
