The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience working with children, preferably disadvantaged children in a residential setting.
An NVQ level 3 qualification or similar qualification in a related field is desirable.
Knowledge of why families become homeless and an ability to understand child developmental needs and how to encourage best practice parenting are an important part of the role; along with the ability to develop and plan sessions for children of varying age ranges.
The ability to work peripatetically with 2 projects, demonstrating a commitment to team work is essential.
