The Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health is a registered charity concerned with the promotion of mental health and the provision of mental health services throughout Northern Ireland.

Applications are invited for the following post in Antrim:

Advocacy Project Worker
Part time post – 11 hours per week
Ref: AMH/APW/0767
Salary £4,278 - £5,669
Based in Holywell Hospital

The successful applicant will advocate on behalf of mental health service users. The main duties will include individual Advocacy with mental health service users both in a hospital and community setting as well as supporting the Mental Health Advocate with regard to input into mental health planning and policy.

Essential Criteria

  • Educated NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience of mental health issues either in a paid, voluntary or personal capacity.
  • Experience of the work described in the job description.

Applicants who can demonstrate one year or more mental health experience will start on the second point of the scale £4,432.
