Contract Status: Permanent (subject to continuous funding) Secondments considered.

Salary: £29,212 rising to £31,688 per annum pro rata (For commencement beyond the first point of the salary scale please refer to salary policy).

Hours: Part-Time / 15 per week.

Location: Hydepark House, 54 Mallusk Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 4WU.

Payment Intervals: Monthly directly into bank account (via BACS)

Holidays: 24 days on entry to grade plus 11 statutory days per annum pro rata (under review). Holiday entitlement increases after 5 and 10 years' service.

Pension Scheme: Contributory pension scheme. Employer contribution: 6.5% Employee contribution: Min. of 3.5% of salary.Scheme membership includes additional benefits of Life Insurance and Permanent Health Insurance.

Essential Criteria

  • Hold a Professional Social Work Qualification recognised by the NISCC: Dip SW, CQSW, CSS or Degree in Social Work.
  • Must be registered with the NISCC.
  • Be an accredited Practice Teacher and have knowledge of practice learning and social work programmes.
  • Be able to demonstrate their knowledge/awareness of new learning & development initiatives and developments in social work education, practice, assessment and PQ.
  • Must have a full driving licence with access to a car and motor insurance that stipulates you can use your vehicle in connection with your business. (Please note this criteria will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but who is able to demonstrate their ability to meet the mobility requirements of the post).

A reserve list be held for this post for the next 9 months.
