Due to ongoing development of supported housing and sheltered housing in the Belfast area Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health invites applications for the following post:

Senior Project Worker (Substance Misuse)
Ref No: AMH/SPW/05/74
Salary Scale: £19,159 - £23,307

The person appointed will provide additional input regarding individuals and groups affected by or at risk from drug and alcohol misuse. Primarily based in a project in West Belfast they will work closely with scheme managers in the greater Belfast area, supporting staff and service users to develop and maintain appropriate services.

The person appointed will be a good organiser, flexible and with a positive approach to team work, be proactive and have the ability to manage and/or support a team of staff.

Essential criteria:

  1. professional qualification (RMN, RGN, DipSW or equivalent and currently registered with the appropriate professional body) and
  2. minimum of two years experience working with people across harm reduction and abstinence based services.

The successful applicant will be expected to work flexible hours, this may include early, late and weekend shifts.
