The Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health is a registered charity concerned with the promotion of mental health and the provision of mental health services throughout Northern Ireland. Applications are invited for the following post based in East Belfast:

The post holder will manage a 40 place Beacon Day Support Scheme, facilitating a range of activities for members. The post holder is required to be highly motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and committed to working in a community mental health setting.

Essential Criteria:

A Professional Qualifications for example:
• Professional Social Work Qualification recognized by NISCC
• Registered Nurse with current pin number with NMC.
• Relevant Post Graduate Qualification in Psychology or equivalent.
PLUS A minimum of 2 years experience of working in a social care setting
OR NVQ Level 4 Social care plus a minimum of 3 years experience of working in a social care setting.
OR A minimum of 5 years experience in a social care setting, including a minimum of 3 years experience in a community mental health setting.
Can evidence management skills which should include supervision of staff/volunteers or students.

The successful applicant is expected to take up post on 1 September 2008.
