
As the lead agency for the development of sport in Northern Ireland, the Sports Council is delighted to announce the launch of a new investment programme for sport.

This scheme makes funding available to youth and community groups to offer activitity and training programmes which promote greater cross-community understanding and development.

The Big Lottery Fund (BLF) has listened to the sector and has responded to its needs.This was the message of the lottery distributor’s director of policy, Vanessa Potter, during the Funding the Future conference from Action Planning which took place on 15 November 2005.
2006 is European Year of Workers’ Mobility and this call is aimed at enhancing mobility opportunities for workers in Europe, promoting the exchange of good practice and informing relevant stakeholders about the rights of workers to free movement as well as the instruments to support mobility in the EU in 2006.

The Foundations for Change Community Awards in association with the Progressive Building Society. The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland is this year focusing its Foundation for Change awards on theme of Citizenship, coinciding with this as the final theme of the Year of the Volunteer.
The Department for Social Development is seeking applications for its three year and £3m Modernisation Fund by 10 January 2006.
