
Three Northern Ireland projects have moved one step closer to receiving a slice of £140 million available through the Big Lottery Fund’s Living Landmarks programme.

Running from 1 May 2006 to 30 April 2007, the Programme has £1.2 million to give away and awards grants through two funds: the Consultancy and Training Fund and the Collaborative Fund.
Young people aged between 11 and 25 from across the UK, are being encouraged to seize the opportunity of a lifetime and make a difference to their local community by applying for a Camelot Foundation 4Front Award.

Some notes on the National Lottery Bill and related matters – August 2006
The European Commission has issued a call for proposals under the multiannual Community Programme Safer Internet plus which promotes safer use of the Internet and new online technologies.
The National Lottery Bill received Royal Assent on Monday 11 July.

The Regional Manager of the Fundraising Standards Board has been appointed and will cover both Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Applications are invited for projects which aim to (1) Halt the Rise in Levels of Obesity in Children and Young People by 2010 and (2) Address obesity prevention through food and nutrition initiatives.
